Is Data Network Affiliates D.N.A. a Scam ? A Review
Data Network Affiliates (D.N.A.), website datanetworkaffiliates.com, is a new and interesting work from home opportunity. However it also appears to good to be true. It is completely free to join and no fees are attached to it (although there is of course some optional fees)
It claims that it will pay people for the simple act of collecting the info of 20 license plate numbers and sending that info into the company. For doing this you will be paid $2 for every month you do it.
It has also incorporated a MLM scheme enabling you to leverage your efforts and theoretically earn $100s, $1000s or even more for the simple act of collecting the license plate info. This is achieved by earning $2 per person for each downline member who does the same thing as you “within their first 30 days of signing up”. Here is where I would be careful, it appears that you only earn the $2 ONCE from each sign up, NOT MONTHLY. I could be wrong but I can’t see any other reason for them to use the wording “within their first 30 days of signing up”.
The optional “Data Input Software Module” will cost you $29.97 monthly plus a set up fee of $97. This is somewhat amusing as you are PAYING THEM to do their job for them! Genius! I won’t talk about the software though as it doesn’t seem to offer any great advantage.
Now let’s assume that they are indeed paying the $2 per person PER MONTH and the “within their first 30 days of signing up” wording doesn’t mean anything. So we are looking at the best case scenario. Even with that the business ,in my opinion, is doomed to fail because who do you think will be willing to go to the trouble of collecting the 20 tags every month and sending that data in for only $2 ? It’s not like you can collect 40 tags for $4 or 200 tags for $20, according to the website you get $2 for 20 tags or more. So more tags doesn’t mean more money.
“But it isn’t just $2 because you get the MLM money from your downline” you may say. Yes this is true, however you need to remember that SOMEONE will always be on the bottom in any MLM and if they are unable to get any downline for themselves do you think they will continue to do the work for a measily $2? I don’t think so. What do you think will happen when that person drops out? The person above them will do the same, and then the same and so on. You will have a matrix implosion for sure.
Therefore my prediction for this one is that it will have a great start as people join and there is all the hype etc. There will be videos and testimonials flying around the internet of people making decent money in the beginning during the growth stage but a few months later when the growth slows down and no one new is joining then the people at the bottom who can’t find any referrals will give up and very quickly you will see the whole thing implode line by line.
Because it’s free to join it’s sure to enjoy a nice growth spurt but unless the company changes the model to ensure that the collecting of data ALONE is worth people’s time, then it’s sure to fail.
So in my opinion I wouldn’t bother with Data Network Affiliates D.N.A. as it doesn’t have any staying power whatsoever. In my opinion it is guaranteed to fail. It’s not a case of if, but a case of when.

You basically create websites and make money from selling the advertising on them or commission from sales generated. You can even sell the websites for a lump sum if you want a quick buck, but the passive monthly income is nice. You don’t need to buy the system above in order to do this, however if you have no idea what this is about or how to go about starting then the training kit above is an excellent start. I currently spend most of my time pursuing this way of making money online as it doesn’t require recruiting, selling, pyramids or any hype. Nor does it depend upon any fly by night company. You make money from Google (or other established companies), who aren’t going anywhere anytime soon. Many of these online MLM schemes can just shut down anytime they want and where does that leave you ? Starting again from scratch with some other company whereby the exact same thing can happen. That’s not for me anymore, I am building a strong online business now that isn’t going anywhere. I make over $200 per month on autopilot using this method now and I plan to grow that every month as I build more and more sites.
Let me finish by saying DNA is by no means a scam in my opinion, it’s just a business that will not last. I would not hesitate for a second to call this a scam.
If you look at the claims they make about the money you will earn, it’s scamorama all the way. There are not enough registered vehicles in the entire country for even a single person to earn what they claim.
Basically they’re selling you the software and monthly fee. No hope at all for anyone to actually make even past the break even point.

First of all, To Peter.
That spill over you are talking about is NOT what you are going to get paid for. You get paid for your personal signups and their signups and so on down to 6 levels. That spillover really means nothing as far as YOUR payday is concerned but is simply used to give encouragement to those just signing up to see how the business is growing rapidly.
If you log onto your account and go to enter tags, hit the “enter tags for downline” button and it will pull up a drop down list SHOWING YOU who is in your different levels. You will find that NONE of those people are in your levels. ONLY the people who you signed up and the people under them down for 6 levels will show up in that drop down menu, and it will show you exactly what level they are in. This is how is works.
No matter which leg you have it switched to, YOUR personal signups are your level 1
Your level 1’s signups are your level 2.
Your level 2’s signups are your level 3.
You level 3’s signups are your level 4.
Your level 4’s signups are your level 5.
Your level 5’s signups are your level 6.
I am not trying to burst your bubble because I am a member also. But I don’t want you to start spreading things that aren’t true to the people who you sponsor and being labeled as misleading or any other bad thing as I am sure you’re an honest person trying to make some money online.
To everyone else reading this. As I said before I am a FREE member of DNA and I am going to list for you some of the PROs and CONs that may help you in your decisions.
First, I stand to gain nothing by posting these comments, unless I could post my email and you’d like to join my team that’s growing quite rapidly, the RIGHT way.
Anyway Here are the CONS first.
Since the Official launch, as you may know there is a FREE version to input tags. When you input tags as a free IREP you are only allowed to put in 5 “tags” per 24 hours. this is not really the problem, but when you enter one tag they delay your time between your next tag input about 5 minutes. I don’t really like this feature because if you want to be a free irep putting in tags it will take you about 2 hours a month total time to put in only 20 tags.
During this extended delay there is a message at the top saying you can purchase the pro version without the delay and input unlimited tags per day.
DO THEY REALLY WANT INFORMATION TO SELL???? If so, then they gotta get rid of this delay thing.
Also, what difference does it make if I put 20 in a day OR NOT? I dont get credit for any more tags than 20! So let me spend the rest of my time recruiting other people into the team!!!!
So, Do they really want people to get angry at the time delay so they will buy the pro version for $97 and 29$ monthly?
This is not a very good way to get people enthusiastic about entering in a “simple” 20 tags.
Next, there is not any real information about the two leg binary system for people to understand. But the way I see it, the two leg binary system is POINTLESS for FREE users.
It works exactly how I explained above to Peter, regardless of which leg people are in. In MLM binary systems you DO get credit for people signed up in your legs under you. I think that the only way you get credit for those people who get put in your downline who aren’t a part of your team is if you purchase the UPGRADE.
So that’s what I don’t like about this system.
Here are the Pro’s.
First of course, it FREE.
As any business online if you do it for FREE it takes time. So if you can overcome the con’s I mentioned above, you can REALLY make the income shown by the 10 x 6 model completely for FREE.
10 signups who enter tags= $20 ONE TIME.
they sign up 10 thats…
100 signups who enter tags= $200 one time.
they sign up 10 each thats… 1000 signups who enter tags gets you= $2000 one time…. and you do the math up to six level and the comes out to that $2.2 MILLION figure. All for FREE.
It’s NOT HARD at ALL to do. Just takes some time.
I can get 100’s of plates in less than an hour with a voice recorder and a large parking lot.
This can be done ALL FOR FREE if your willing to dedicate your time and focus.
It overcomes the 3 main barriers when people look for online income opportunities.
COST up front- it’s FREE
Products to sell- There are none, you are creating the product they sell.
Level of difficulty- Anyone who can read or write can do this.
So sorry for the long winded explanation here but I hope that it may help you in your decision to join up or not.
This is just another pyramid scheme that will benefit the developers of it for a short time before it falls apart as you’ve pointed out in your article. I also wonder what this data mining is for, since there is so much illegal activity when using peoples and businesses information

If that’s the case this makes this program even harder to succeed long term because if you don’t KEEP recruiting people you will only make the measily $2 for your hard work. And with that annoying 5 minute delay (unneccessary of course – just a scheme to get you to buy the overpriced software) people will be less likely to stick at it for very long.
Waste of time people. There are many much better opportunities out there.
You have to do 20 tags each month to get $2.00, if you don’t do it the next month, you don’t get paid anything… with this binary system, they don’t pay you $2.00 for everyone under your downline.. they pay you for everybody under your Unilevel up to 6 levels… you have to Qualify to get paid each month…. PETER: You don’t get $2 for everybody in your downline.. just the people that you and YOUR friends have sponsored up to 6 levels..
The waiting thing is a stupid waste of my time, and time is money. Also they want your home address, phone number and Social Security Number. I’ve entered 3 tags and I’m so annoyed that I am going to cancel my account.
So it looks like it’s falling apart even before it’s getting started ?
In responce to above. You do not have to give your SS# until you want your commission due. If it was a perfect world, everyone would have been rich from Amway. But with anything it may take time. The first commissions are coming shortly. That will be a major factor to see how it will do. There are other ways that have been annoinced to make additional money. Some will dtill be for free, others you will need the upgrade. If you keep it simple neter your tag info, and the people you sponsor understand the time involved, and as it goes global. I think it will work. You will only get paid on new sponsors, but if everyone gets paid, new sponsors will come, plus there are other ways to be paid, both free and with the upgrade. I guess time will tell. So I will stick with it, and see how it goes. Also I advised my people to enter their 1st tag info, then do email or something then go back do another tag, or enter one before you turn off your computer. So that way you will be entering at least 2 a day with really no delay.
Apparently the first DNA payments are supposed to go out April 15. So that will be a big day. If you get paid be sure to come back here and post your results for everyone to benefit from.
I had signed up for this program. I was doing nothing with it as the sugar wasn’t sweet enough to do that type of work. I decided to quit the program. Moreover, I was getting one or two emails a day with a confirmation request.
I went to withdraw from the program by going to the DNA “dashboard” for the business. There was nothing as of March 29, 2010, to allow you to remove yourself from their program. There is a “contact us” in the form of support (laughing at that term in relation to them) and that is the only way to contact them, unless of course, you include the “pep rally” type phone calls. So failing all self propelled removal efforts I shot them an email. Here is what I sent:
Dear Sirs/Madams,
I want to be removed from your program. Please remove (here I gave them my link) from the affiliate program or send me instructions as to how I can remove myself from this program. Your expedient fulfillment of this request will be greatly appreciated.

Eve (I gave them my whole name)
Mind you, this is the only contact they gave at this time and they shoot back an auto response that only delivers the “Top 20 Customer Service Issues.” (It didn’t include how to remove oneself from the program) Since this is the only address and I am thinking someone has to be tending the helm, I send another email, to which they respond and unkindly so. My take on this whole expedition is it’s money driven and if you’re not willing to expand their pockets they have no desire to treat people kindly. I believe that through this representative that finally answered my email they have proven themselves to be a purely money motivated business with no attempt at treating people kindly when they choose to leave.
Funny thing was, I wanted to leave because I wasn’t participating. Had they treated me with respect I wouldn’t have anything to say about them positive or negative. But, I do believe that way you treat people who choose NOT to be a part of your program is any less respectful than the way someone may choose to be must be equal. That is what a REAL business would do. And I’m sorry I’ve wasted my valuable time on them.

Well Last night was suppose to be the big night for recruiting the PRO Affiliates and a snapshot of everyones account to figure the Commissions.
I have been in DNA for a month now and like Scot I’m going to stay in it a while work with the people under me and STAY FREE FREE FREE and see if this Company will actually pay any commissions. This is probably the simplest thing I have ever done. The hardest thing is recruiting people that will work. Most think it’s a violation of privacy and then the say it’s a scam. Well it’s not any violation of privacy here in the USA as Tag’s are property of the State and Public Knowledge. However DNS said they are going Global. Well not with the Car Tag Thing. Some Countries this would be Illegal and they would get in big trouble. They say they have an office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in a 5 star building but no visitors allowed, this strikes me funny. Probably got a closet with a tag on it. They say they are Hi Ranked with to BBB (Better Business Bureau). Well I checked them out and the BBB doesn’t know who they are. I know I’m pointing out some things that would drive you away from this However I wish to keep them Honest and work them a while. It’s just to easy to pass up if it work’s. well ok, If not I have lost nothing but a little time. I have a web site SUPPORT SITE for the people signing up under me and hope to help them and get some help for me. At least keep up with what is happening with the people I sponsor. Last but not least. Keep them Honest and stay FREE FREE FREE. My 2 Cents

Some of you have been mislead about DNA being a scam. Well, I don’t believe it is, or I would not have joined, and had my friends and family join. I researched it as much as possible even before the launch. (which was March 10)
What strikes me is that the man that wrote the scam site above is using it to bring people into his own website. Even after putting down DNA, he says go here. (his site is listed) Also, after 3 or 4 comments he will put his two cents worth in about joining his site. Duh!!
I personally made $280 in less than 3 weeks, and this is not including what I will be paid with the tag input which will be paid on the 15th. I put my 10 personal unilevel team together, and now I have 30. This is wonderful, and I have been helping each of them as much as possible. DNA is an easy, fun opportunity and I can prove my earnings. I did upgrade and now have my cost back, plus some.
So, Don’t Tell Me –It’s A Scam. It Is NOT.

Thank you for your comment but you haven’t read this page correctly. I have never said DNA was a scam. Please allow me to quote what I said in my last paragraph :

Yes I am putting down DNA as I believe it’s a waste of time and won’t work in the long run (but I have never accused it of being a scam). It’s only my 2 cents, of course I could be wrong, but I think my logic is correct and time will tell.
As for me talking about joining “my site” it’s not entirely true. The site http://bestworkingfromhomejobs.com/adsense-training isn’t mine. It’s a training kit that shows people how to create money making websites the same way I am. So I am merely recommending what I think in my opinion is the best way to make money on the internet. I had a record day yesterday as it was the first day I earned over $20 in one day of Adsense earnings. So I know the system works and it doesn’t require any recruiting. Which I can’t say for most of the other systems I have tried. Of all the MLMs listed on this site I only made profit with 2. All the others I lost money in. So the purpose of this site is hopefully to help others learn from my experience. Just because I lost or made money with one MLM doesn’t mean others will have the same fate. But if you know exactly what you are getting yourself into before you start, at least there will be less people yelling “scam” when they shouldn’t.
Of course you can make money with DNA, the same way you can make money with pretty much every other single scheme out there. It’s a simple formula – join a scheme by paying “x” amount of dollars. Get others to do the same and make money by doing so.
However by analyzing the payout structure we can see which schemes offer the best bang for buck. If a scheme is $10 to join and pays $2 per referral, whereas another is also $10 to join and pays $3 per referral it’s simple which scheme comes out on top. When analyzing DNA it pales in comparison to most of the other schemes out there. For example the DNA software thing is about $29.97 per month right ? But that is waved if you refer 3 others who do the same right ?
Well right away I can see that TWRPS is better than DNA. It is also just under $30 per month but if you refer only 2 people you break even. So who would join DNA when TWRPS is mathematically better and on top of that it has a forced matrix of 2×10 guaranteeing you the maximum rate of spillover available of any forced matrix. DNA has no forced matrix so there’s no chance of recieving spillover from your upline. In saying that I am no longer a TWRPS member as it was difficult to keep people going if they were unable to get the 2 people needed to break even.
So here’s a question : If it was hard to get people to stay in TWRPS which only needed 2 people to break even, how much harder will it be to get people to stick with the DNA upgrade when you need 3 people to break even ? It’s simple math and logic. Yes you have made $280 in less than 3 weeks but I dare you to come back here in 6 months from now and then 1 year and tell me how you are doing. I highly doubt you will be able to keep this momentum going. Every program does well during the growth stage and people make money and then the hype spreads etc but every program also eventually reaches it’s “critical mass” when the new signups slow down and even stop because everyone is already in. What happens then huh ? The people at the bottom quit because they can’t make a profit and then the imploding begins. Not long after 90% of the people have left and most of them with bad tastes in their mouth as they truly believed this was the answer to their prayers.
However compare that to my recommended The site http://bestworkingfromhomejobs.com/adsense-training and there’s none of that risk. I am currently making over $200 per month on autopilot and I don’t need to speak to a single person. I don’t need to motivate people or convince them to stay in any program. There’s a lot less risk of my income going down (of course it’s possible as it depends on whether you stay on the first page of Google or not) but over the last 6 months my income has grown each month steadily, unlike my experience with MLMs.
So although I do put DNA down along with many other programs reviewed on this site, it’s only because I know there’s something much better out there. It took me almost 1 year to find it, but now that I have I am glad I did. If I didn’t fail in all these MLMs I would never have stumbled upon something that actually works.
In conclusion I have yet to call DNA a scam and I don’t think I ever will until I see strong evidence to show that they actually did indeed lie.
However, one thing I do find strange is that you have already made money with DNA. I thought the first payouts were to occur on Apr 15. Is that info wrong ? Perhaps Apr 15 is the date where the freebees first get paid, yeah ?
To all the other DNAers out there, have you made money yet ? Especially those who didn’t upgrade but are just doing the FREE option, how’s that working out for you?
Please keep coming back and updating us on how you are doing. It will be interesting to see if my prediction comes true. It will take 6 months to 1 year I am sure but I think I will be vindicated in the long run. By that time I should be making $1000-$2000 per month with my adsense websites. Maybe then you will be more inclined to try my way of making money.

(My opinion) What a rediculous concept. Police can read 90,000 plates a day. Have you ever gotten a ticket in the mail for speeding because a camera mounted on an overpass or sign took a picture of your plates? This in my opinion has to be one of if not the stupidest network marketing ideas ever.
And do you think people like Jeff Long and others in the “Top Recruiters” list above are really interested in building DNA, or are they simply collecting their own data in the form of OPTINS? Wake up and smell the coffee.

I believe they’re only after your identities .. why ask for license plates in the back of the car?. the government has all the records for it.. and why asking your SSS?.. for their own purposes?.. o’cmon. you want somebody to use your identity to do illegal things?. who will be willing to give $2 for 50 million people that they say will be the amount of members in 3 years?..
After reading your letter I emailed DNA asking about the “It doesn’t mater if we enter 20 or more we still get only $2. So we enter 100, we still get $2..?”

Also what is this “left leg” & “right let” that we have to build it right, it sounds like the pyramid scam. Is it..?
Also is it true where we have to become pro to get the money? Hard you can make the $$$ but order to get it you have to become pro 1st… Is this true too?

Yes, unbelieveable! Now there are 2 comments from people that both mention this high and mighty attitude these people seem to have. Recipe for disaster.
I figure that if i get 20 plates and encourge other people that sign up to get 20 plates it would work. I understand that not everyone will get their plates. I think getting the 20 plates is so easy to do and it dont cost anything to do this. What i do is use a camera to get the plates. Then i go online get the address of where i went copy and paste. Took me a few mins. I can put up to 5 plates a day and you have 30 days to do it. I will get all of my plates in 4 days. Then i got my $2 for sure and the person i signed under will get his $2 for me doing this. If everyone below me just did this i would get a lot of $2’s. All they have to do is get 20 plates and get people to do the same. One thing i notice that works best with this program is that i need to get people to sign up free and get the 20 plates. If i can get a lot of people to sign up then ill find the people that will get the 20 plates. I will post ads where ever i can for people to join so i can keep the motion going and build the levels of income.

but I would like to point out that the seemingly most “uninformed” (putting it kindly) have the most to say. Especially in reference to the data and how it is used. No one has commented on their new addition to the program, the $10. a month cell phone program, how come admin?

I heard about this website DNA about low cost cell phone plans for 10 dollars a month,now im reading about tag collectors getting paid,Could this be a marketing tool to collect info for cell phone customers or is there another reason there doing this,My tag has a block on it only Law Enforcement can get data about me,Is this company breaking laws and will people really collect money or will there be fake posters saying they recieved a check just to keep people interested,Im only interested in the truth.

Their conference calls are obnoxious. The main guy “Greco” is very unprofessional and foul mouthed. They won’t last 6 months in my opinion. The only problem with this program as with all MLM programs is duplicability. Unless you are involved in some sort of co-op pool or you are a marketing genius this is most certainly headed for disaster. Most people don’t know how to recruit others. Once you realize how difficult it is to get people to join your donwline, you will more than likely drop out. Keep your hard earned money in your pocket and don’t give it to these DNA bozos. Pass the word along,..the $10 and $20 dollar deal are a scam. I don’t believe any affiliate got the $10 deal. There was a guy at another site, he said he got like 53,000 downlines and not a single person he’d talk to had got a $10 deal. I didn’t get it. DNA said they would email all the Pros the link, but no one got it. On the 19th they put up the link to the $20 deal, but a few hours later they said it was all sold out. The total for the $20 deal actually come up to something like $54. I’ve paid fee of $129 on the 18th just so I could get the $10 deal, but didn’t get it. I guess I’m one of the fool that fell for Greco the LIar’s hype. Now they’re saying that they are working on a deal for A MILLION Phone or something like that. Tell people not to go pro;;;;;It’s a scam,,scammmmmmm.
Well, its was payday on april 20th and only showed $2.00 for my 20 tags, But did not showed nothing else for my additional 72 affiliates on my binary.

I think the thing that disturbs me most about DNA is that, how creepy is it to ask people to record RANDOM license plate numbers with NO reason to believe that any of these RANDOM people whose privacy you are invading has done anything wrong. People don’t seem to have a problem with randomly stalking strangers and writing down their license plate numbers? I have had several affiliates try to put up free ads on my site for this, and frankly, I am a bit disturbed by this business model. I’m all for finding the missing, in fact I volunteer for two different K9 Search & Rescue groups which have been responsible for finding plenty of people with trained forensic K9 teams, but seriously… I don’t feel very good about the idea of writing down strangers’ license plates. Can someone please explain why they think this is not a creepy, creepy, creepy thing to do? What am I missing?
Why is it creepy to write down a license plate number? It’s not like you’re hurting anyone. Unless, of course, the car is stolen or the owner is wanted by the police. If you’re not doing anything you shouldn’t, why would you care who saw your car in a certain place at a certain time. But if you are doing something you shouldn’t, then you deserve whatever you get.
I’ve signed up, because it is free. I thought recording license plates was a little creepy at first, but if you are doing nothing wrong or illegal, why would you care if your license plate is written down? I am staying as a free member for now to see what happens. I see the $2.00 for the plates adding up, but I wonder did any of you notice there is a $25.00 minimum payout. That means if all you do is the license plates, it will take the year to hit your minimum and be paid. I am proceeding, but I am skeptical and being very cautious. My suggestion to others is to do the same and let’s see where this company goes in 6 months to a year. Twenty license plates can be collected in 5 minutes a month. So, we aren’t talking about too much time involved here. it kind of gets you entering them as there is a lag time for free members and the max one can enter for a day is five plates! I can see where the possibility to go nowhere exists if you don’t build your down line and sell the products they offer. I’m curious did anyone actually get the $10.00 cell phone? I’m hoping it gets off the ground and stays there. Time will of course let us know all! It always does!
So far I have seen only things that have an upcomming date, when something that is upcomming comes and people start to tell about it then I will have an open mind about DNA, until then my mind is in a no commit zone. Anyone saying that DNA will not last is not doing their research as more and more people are signing up as it cost nothing to join, but the numbers that actually go pro, well I cant say because I do not know but time will tell.
I joined DNA on 6th Feb and under Jeff Long – who seams to have dissappeared now. I must say that I am appaled at the customer support – if they worked for me they would all be sacked – or worse. I am PRO and have not yet received adequate compensation for my efforts – although it is early days. I do note that most of the hype that comes out from above never comes true – especially the $25 for PRO’s whos members submit 20 tags in 30 days – that’s pure fiction and in fact has never been paid to me either – and I know some of my downline entered their tags. So like most others, I will wait to see if these people ever get their act together or I will resign.
Does anyone know how to reach the corporate officials of this scam since they are registered in the Grand Cayman?
Well can we really label it a scam yet ? Have they lied about anything yet ? I have labeled it a waste of time and doomed to fail but not quite sure if it’s a scam yet. I expect it could go that way though as they are making many promises that I doubt they will fulfill. Time will tell …. The latest news are: as free member you receive $2 and up to $2 for every member from your downline who enter at least 20 car tags/month (notice: even if you have 100 people in your downline, but they don`t enter this at leasat 20 car tags you don`t receive any money). You can enter just 5 car tags/day as free member.
As PRO, you can enter how many car tags do you wish pro month. For every 50 car tags you receive 1 token thats vault up to $2.
Another commissions from another DNA programs: you receive commissions for BBP (business packages), for DNA mortgage reduction, for DNA sales system etc.
About support team: in past was a little difficult to contact support team, but now you can send a support ticket from your backoffice and you got an answer in 24 hours. So, they improved alot this contact area.

First I was sceptic about this DNA, but now I`m feeling that is a good MLM opportunity, and if you are patient, you can earn nice money.
About cashout: yes, you can cashout any time you want (they have now more payments options). There is a minimum of $25.

On April 12th, 2010, I ordered Data Network Affiliate’s pro upgrade package for 126.97. They had advertised that they would be having cell phone service for just $10/month and said I would have the possibility of making more money signing people up for the service if I upgraded to pro. For pro, I would also be required to pay 29.97 monthly. To date, I have received nothing in the mail for the money that I paid, no kind of membership materials, etc. Not only that, they began repeatedly raising the cell phone service price. It went up to 19.95 a month, then 39.95 a month, and then they stated that it was about to go up again to an undisclosed amount, even though they gave you no way to order the cell service online. Now I wonder if the cell service ever even existed, as I have seen no proof. I think the whole thing is a huge scam. The whole reason I initially upgraded to pro is that the cell phone service price was phenomenal, and I figured they would have no competition, so it would be a great way to earn money. I asked to cancel and return to the free membership level on May 31st, but they didn’t cancel my membership until more than 2 weeks AFTER they’d charged my credit card again. This company has sneaky business practices. The last couple of times I’d emailed my discontent to them, they completely ignored me and failed to respond. They also list no contact number on their site, leaving the only way to communicate with them through email. I would strongly warn anybody considering getting involved with this company. If you insist on trying them out, at least stay at the free level (although they will pressure you like mad to upgrade).
